Vasileios C. Kyttaris MD, is the rheumatology training program director at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). He is also an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School. 

Dr Kyttaris received his medical degree in 1994 from the University of Patras, Greece. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine in 2001. He subsequently completed fellowships in rheumatology at Washington Hospital Center, and in autoimmune diseases at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research/Washington Hospital Center. 

Dr Kyttaris specializes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). His research focuses on the role of T cells in the pathogenesis of SLE and especially how aberrant cooperation between T and B cells results in overproduction of pathogenic autoantibodies.
